Welcome to Book Mail, the only book review newsletter written by a comic book writing librarian (that I know of.)

Here you will find my takes on capitol L Literature, rom coms, historical mysteries, true crime, comics, and literally anything else I feel interested in checking out. I’m a very omnivorous reader and will read pretty much anything so feel free to recommend stuff, as well!

Why subscribe?

Because why not? All posts are free. Tips are very much appreciated, however, so if you enjoy and want to help support the newsletter, paid subscriptions are available for $5/month or $35/year. With the subscription, you also can pick a book for me to read and cover in the newsletter! Pick your favorite, pick something to torture me with, do whatever you like! Either way, I’m just happy you’re here.

UPDATE: I completely understand if you would rather not have your money going to Substack right now. I don’t currently have the bandwidth to move platforms but if you’d like to support me without giving money to Substack, you can find my Ko-Fi here and you can, of course, also pick a book for me.
